How can a financial planner help me?
The planner's primary role is to learn from you what your current financial situation is, what your goals are, and what you're willing to do to achieve them, then construct a plan or strategy for you. In some instances, the plan may be all a client needs, but the service doesn't stop there. You financial planner can also facilitate the implementation of that plan by assisting with the application for investment products or loan facilities, liaising with financial institutions and regulatory bodies on your behalf, reviewing investment performance, and providing ongoing advice based on this review and your established strategy. Should your goals change, your plan will need to be updated. Obviously, this requires an ongoing relationship with your financial planner. Our track record of over 25 years gives you the confidence that we'll be there to see your plans through as we have for literally thousands of clients in the past. It's fairly common that people think they can pick their own investments as well as any planner can. This may be true at a superficial level, but when you consider the sheer number of options available, the time taken for an individual to consider them all becomes prohibitive. So a planner representing a large collection of clients obviously has much greater efficiency in this regard. Your financial planner will have access to a vast array of information regarding currently available investment products, and the experience to recognise the true value of each, and more importantly, how it applies to your strategy. Beyond simply picking an investment, your planner will identify and communicate to you the risks associated, and how you can mitigate that risk.
